Alien's FTP Checker v2.05 (June 1, 2004)

To use this version of FTP Checker, you need the .NET framework v1.1. If you don't already have it, get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en

Install it, then download FTP Checker here.

-----IMPORTANT-----

The major difference between v2.xx and v1.xx is that this version makes a direct connection to one of the bots, bypassing IRC entirely. It does not matter which IRC client you have.
After you download the program, please change the default bot to "O0mpah" (in Settings). This is important because

a) BaLtHoR is already stressed enough.
b) Sync issues may occur if different people connect to different bots.

Please only use BaLtHoR if O0mpah is unavailable.
The first time you connect to a bot using FTP Checker, go to the Message Log tab and send the command ".chat 2". This will put you on the 2nd "channel", where all of the site-checking-related output goes.
This version has the ability to connect to FTP sites without relying on clipboard monitoring (if you use FlashFXP, BPFTP, or LeapFTP).
To turn on this feature, (in FTP Checker) go to Options > Site connect mode > <your FTP client>.

If you use FlashFXP, At least one of your views (left or right) must be local in order for this feature to work predictably.

(June 1, 2004) 2.05 -
- For those who use FlashFXP as their "Site Connect Mode":
  - FTP Checker now works with FlashFXP 3.0 RC2.
  - FTP Checker now works (well) no matter which side (left or right) your remote view is on (as long as one of the sides is remote view). Behaviour is unpredictable if both of your views are remote.
  - Bug fix for people who used an evaluation version of FlashFXP: Every time you restarted FTP Checker, the "Site Connect Mode" would be reset to "Clipboard", this has been fixed.
- FTP Checker now replaces "_" with " " in the description AFTER applying the description filters, so that you can use "_" in your description filters without getting confusing results.
- "Save + close" button now works when adding bots.
- Minor changes:
  - The Site Details fields (poster, FTP info, etc) fields are now cleared automatically when a site you had selected has been removed by another checker while you were _not_ viewing the site (FTP Checker was minimized or you had some other tab open).
  - Poster field made wider in View mode.
  - Added website link to About form.
  - Filters listview in Settings has been made taller to accomodate more filters without scrolling.
  - Stats & Settings forms now start at the center of the screen, not the center of their parent window.
  - Changed colour codes for poster field slightly (mouse over the field to see what they are).
  - Added tooltip to rating combo-box.
  - Double-clicking the various listviews in Settings now brings up the appropriate edit screen for the selected item.
(May 27, 2004) 2.04 -
- Fixed problem with program popping up errors whenever it connected (and some other times) because it's unable to find the sound file (you'll still get this error if you used 2.03 before; to fix it just go to Settings > Desc. & Sounds and remove the ! infront of some of the filenames.). You can also just disable the sounds you don't want.
- Fixed problem with some IPs not being recognized as IPs, so when you try to DNS them you might've got "Unable to resolve" even though it should be possible to resolve that IP.
- Site Info form no longer hangs if you press OK while it is attempting to DNS an IP.
- Fixed problem with Statistics form showing a large negative number in some cases when you checked 0 sites that day.
- Program no longer hangs/crashes if you try to check a site you're already checking. Instead, it just informs you you're already checking it. (Thanks to Dude for reporting this one).
(May 24, 2004) 2.03 -
- Fixed bug that caused FTP Checker to crash when attempting to decrypt password for some people. For everyone who has used a previous relese (2.xx), you'll have to re-enter your password because of the decryption issue.
- Fixed bug that caused FTP Checker to say there's a new version available even when there wasn't (this was a culture-related issue, it only happened if you use "," as a decimal point).
- Made FTP Checker not complain when you edit a filter only to change its case.
- Fixed bug that caused the setting of "Don't add items that are already in description" to not actually be saved when OK was clicked in Settings.
- Added sound events - it is now possible to have FTP Checker play a WAV file of your choice when any one of the following events takes place (separate WAV for each):
  - FTP Checker connects to a bot (off by default).
  - FTP Checker disconnects from the bot.

If you can think of any other sound events that should be added, let me know. Thanks to CG for suggesting this and also for reporting the first two bugs in this list.

(May 22, 2004) 2.02 - FTP Checker can now handle logins and passwords with spaces in them (specified by <1>, etc). Also, it no longer interprets any login/pass with a "/" in it as anonymous.
(May 21, 2004) 2.01 - Clicking "Execute these commands upon connection" checkbox in Settings did not enable the commands textbox, this has been fixed.
